Staff Reporter :: Sujit Dewan Japan, the senior politician and one of the Chittagong Hill Tract’s prominent sports organizer is no more. Yesterday, 15 May 2021, Saturday evening, he gave up his last breath in his own house in Tribal Adam, Rangamati. He died at the age of 80. He had been suffering from various aging diseases for a long period of time.
He left behind his son, son’s wife, grandchildren and many of his devotees. He was involved in many social, cultural and sports organization such as Chittagong Hill Tracts Regional Sports Association, Rangamati District Council, Rangamti Municipality, Rangamati District Sports Association (DSA), Red Crescent Society and also in many other organizations. He was as a public representative also. He was in the committee of Rangamti District BNP as an advisor, former vice president of BNP’s Rangamati District committee, also in the committee of Rangamati Sadar Upozilla BNP, as a general secretary.
