Arakan Army’s 3 active members detained for illegal entry in Bangladesh

---Bandarban Correspondent :: On Wednesday, 5th May 2021, three (3) persons had been detained for the accusation of illegal entry in Bandarban, from Bandarban Reicha army check post. These three were claimed to be as the active members of Arakan Army (AA).

While passing the Reicha Army check post they were detained from there. They were Niowai (30), Choshi (32) and Colunong (28). They were the residents of Manda in Arakan State, Myanmar and also active members of Arakan Army. After primary queries they were transferred to Bandarban sadar police station. The source of law enforcement had confirmed that.

Meanwhile, these active members’ were leaving from Cox’s Bazar to Bandarban as one of the detained Arakan Army’s member Choshi (32), his sister named Kuhalong U Neion Chemi, who lived a long time there in Bandarban illegally, they were on the way to meet her and get caught by the Army.

Officer in charge (OC) of Bandarban Sadar Police Station had confirmed the assured about the matter and informed that after completing 3 months training of Arakan Army in Myanmar, a few days ago they had entered in Bangladesh through the Owalidong border area and fled to Bangladesh. In interrogation, they had confirmed that and necessary legal actions will be taken against them further, he said.
