Motor bike driver killed in Longgodu: fire at the chakma houses

---Staff reporter :: After the excitement of the death of a local motorcycle driver in Rangamati, the houses and shops in the hills were set on fire. On 1 June, the body of a motorcycle driver named Nurul Islam Nayon was found on Dighinala-Langadu road.In this incident local Bengalis started arson at local chakma peoples houses.Local police said, that when the procession went out of control, were set on fire at 10-12 house Longudu upazila and around Manikjurchara in adjacent areas.Among the houses which are set on fire are the union’s chairman Colin Mitra Chakma’s house and local office of Chittagong Hill Tracts Jana Sanghati Samity (PCJSS) led by Santu Larma.

on Friday, Chittagong Hill Tracts Jana Sanghati Samity (PCJSS), in a statement, condemned the incident as a ‘organized communal attack’. The organization claimed that about 250 homes and shops of Jumma have been completely burnt down in Tinthila and adjacent Manikjurchara in Langdu upazila. PCJSS said, Local Settler ‍are responsible for the incident. PCJSS blamed the local army and police as a guide to the Bengali people. PCJSS complaining that local Awami League, BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami and other organizations including the participated in Bengali procession.PCJSS has asked the government to take legal action against all the people involved in the incident including the local army-police. Chakma people who fled the house were reported to have fled elsewhere. Meanwhile, the leaders of PBSP and the Samadikar Andolon demanded a fair investigation of Nayan murder. In a press release sent to the media, the organization said that on June 1, at around 12:00 pm on Thursday, the motorcycle driver Nurul Islam Noyon, rescued at Dighinala Road.Jahangir Alam Munna and Jahangir Kamal of the Samadikar the motorcycle driver Nayon murder was severely condemned. the organization’s claim that, nayon was with two tribal passengers with his motorcycle.
